Linking Human, Animal, and Environmental Health
The One World, One Health concept is core to CROW’s mission. One Health is an interdisciplinary field investigating the connection between the health of humans, animals, and the environment. Here at CROW, we utilize this broader perspective to observe and document changes in wildlife that may be indicative of an environmental change (such as harmful algal blooms) or that may have effects on human health (such as zoonotic diseases). The information we obtain from monitoring our patients can be shared in collaboration with our partnering organizations to promote conservation efforts.
