Marketing Director

Department: Administrative 

Supervisor: Executive Director 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Develops and manages effective integrated marketing campaigns for a variety of audiences that advances the brand and achieves key business objectives. 

• Recommends and prioritizes Marketing/Communication channels, programs, and spending. 

• Directs marketing development and resulting lead generation. 

• Leads trade show and event planning process. 

• Organizes, manages, and coordinates photo/video shoots including script writing. 

• Organizes, manages, and coordinates media relations to include talking points for staff. 

• Develops, executes, and tracks marketing promotional programs for member, volunteer, visitor, and student audiences. 

• Manages project budgets and ensures adherence to Marketing/ Communication budget plans. 

• Provides ongoing metrics, analysis, and recommendations for improvement. 

• Maintains and develops content for the organization’s websites and manage its social media presence. 

• Provides marketing support on select Web based initiatives including e-commerce. 

• Provides proactive marketing solutions and leads the development of marketing campaigns. 

• Develops the annual report. 

• Manages member and volunteer e-mail platform; develops, implements an executes email marketing strategy. 

• Designs, develops, reviews, and approves marketing collateral to ensure brand consistency (flyers, letterhead, banners, business cards, presentations, etc.). 

Other duties as assigned. 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements 

• B.S. or B.A. degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or other closely related field. 

• Three to five years documented work experience in integrated marketing communications and graphic design. 

• Proven experience building and measuring integrated marketing communications campaigns across channels. 

• Demonstrated leadership skills in project planning and management of key internal and external stakeholders. 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, plus experience in creating and delivering presentations before large audiences and conducting medial interviews. 

• Experience with emerging digital marketing and technology. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities – strong business, financial, organizational and product marketing planning skills. 

• Proficient in office software systems. 

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. 

• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service. 

• Must be able to work cooperatively with co-workers, volunteers, and the public. 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards 

• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone. 

Status: Full-time exempt position
