Jordan Bryant is CROW’s Conservation Education and Marketing Intern for 2026.

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in San Diego, California, and have always loved living by the beach.

How long have you worked at CROW?

I am the Conservation Education & Marketing Intern here at CROW, from January until December, so almost a full year!

What is your favorite part of your internship?

My favorite part about working at CROW is having the incredible opportunity to help care for injured and sick wildlife, as well as being able to share my love and passion for wildlife conservation with others. As an educator-in-training, being able to connect with people of all ages and opportunities, and feeling a shared sense of community when it comes to helping the unique wildlife, we coexist with, is incredibly rewarding.

What is your favorite animal and why?

Since moving to Florida, I have quickly developed a massive appreciation for Osprey because of their incredible power and a soft spot in my heart for roseate spoonbills because they’re so unique, and pink! However, my absolute favorite animal of all time would have to be the shortfin mako shark, obviously because they’re the fastest.

What is your most memorable CROW moment so far?

There are many memories I’m fond of from my time at CROW, but definitely one of the most memorable would have to be the time I was able to transport & release a juvenile bald eagle back to its home on Pine Island after it had healed from a fishing hook injury.

What activities or hobbies do you enjoy outside of CROW?

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places, reading, biking, shelling, live music, meeting new people, and just being in the ocean as often as I can!

As part of CROW’s internship program, Jordan Bryant often joins Education Coordinator Brittnay Laster at local events to teach visitors, students, and families about wildlife.

What has been the most surprising thing during your time as an intern/extern?

The most surprising thing I have discovered about myself since working here has been a newfound confidence in public speaking! I have never been fond of giving presentations, but being able to talk to people about the work we do here has been so incredibly easy and exciting. It’s very encouraging to see the happiness and hope people feel when learning about how injured wildlife are being cared for.

What are some of your goals or aspirations for the future?

I have always dreamed of working with animals, but also just conservation/sustainability in general, so I am looking to explore different avenues and opportunities when it comes to my career in conservation. I studied Marine Biology in Hawaii and have my bachelors in animal science. I am interested in furthering my career and getting my masters and potentially a doctorate one day. I have always been interested in shark research and tagging, and hope to be a part of those conservation efforts in the future!
