Paul Ben-Susan is a graduate of Bentley College in Waltham MA, with a BS in Accounting, Paul taught accounting at Newbury Junior College and spoke frequently at the American Management Association and Bentley College on the subject of cash management and treasury services. Paul Ben-Susan retired from Citibank in 1998, moved full time from New York City to Shelter Island, New York, then subsequently to Florida. Paul was with Citibank for 18 years, and for the last 9 he was a Vice President in Global Cash Management Services responsible for the Automotive Industry. In 2015, Paul was elected to the Board of The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Sanibel, Florida. He served as Treasurer and then President from 2019-2021. He is an active rescuer and cares deeply about our wildlife in Southwest Florida.

Fred J. Weinman holds a B.S. degree in monetary and fiscal economics from the University of North Carolina- Asheville and a M.B.A. from Western Carolina University. Fred joined Northern Trust in 1999 and now leads a team of seasoned investment, banking, and advisory professionals as the Senior Managing Director of Lee County. Fred has always been civically minded and his interests are centered around community and philanthropic pursuits. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys traveling with his wife Susan.

Roger Grogman is a graduate of Loyola University :B.A and The University of Texas E.M.A. His career in Marketing includes over

35 years with fortune 500 companies as Director or V.P. of Marketing .

Roger moved from Texas and has been a full time resident on Sanibel since 2007 where he has served in many community rolls: President of Shell Harbor HOA, Chair of the Sanibel Planning Commission , President Sanibel Community Association, President of Community Housing and Resources, Secretary Bailey Mathews National Shell Museum and Aquarium, Board of Directors Sanibel Captiva Rotary Club, and Government affairs committee member Sanibel Chamber of Commerce . Roger and his wife Sandy enjoy boating ,bicycling and the overall environment of Sanibel and its wildlife

Barb Lasky is a Sanibel resident with a background in accounting, nonprofit service and community engagement. She holds a BBA and MBA with an emphasis in accounting from Eastern Kentucky University and began her career in public accounting in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1982. She became a partner in her firm in 1992, working in tax, audit, retirement plans and consulting, with a specialization in nonprofit organizations.

Throughout her career, Lasky conducted audits, prepared IRS Form 990 filings and provided consulting services to a wide range of nonprofit clients. She also served as board treasurer for Kentucky Youth Advocates and held board positions with the Louisville chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

A longtime visitor to Sanibel since 1973, Lasky purchased her home in 2007 and retired on Sanibel in 2020. Since 2021, she has volunteered with CROW, supporting daily operations including laundry, dishwashing, animal care and wildlife rescue efforts. Her favorite work is participating in wildlife rescues, and she also enjoys educating the public about local wildlife.

She looks forward to applying her nonprofit financial expertise in her role on the CROW Board of Directors, supporting the organization’s mission of wildlife rehabilitation, conservation and education.

Holly Boldrin is Priority Marketing’s Senior Director of Public Relations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of South Florida. Outside the office, Ms. Boldrin volunteers on the board of directors for Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) as well as for the Pine Manor Improvement Association. She serves as a credentialing chair for the Florida Public Relations Association SWFL Chapter and is an adult leader for Boy Scout Troop 119.

Karen Buck, originally from the Chicago area, has resided at least part time on Captiva since 1997 with her husband, Stuart, and two daughters. Now a retired medical assistant/lab tech/ medical office manager, Karen grew up in rural Indiana surrounded by wildlife. She has been involved with many fundraisers and is also currently serving on the entertainment committee at the Sanctuary Golf Club.

Jason Maughan grew up and still lives in the Blind Pass neighborhood he rode the bus from to Bishop Verot H.S. in Fort Myers after emigrating from Ireland to Sanibel.  He is peer rated as top 5% of Real Estate Attorneys in the State of Florida by Super Lawyers for handling transactions and litigation.  He has been elected as a City Councilman, served several appointed terms on the Planning Commissioner, as well as being the Scoutmaster for the Sanibel Boy Scout Troop for the last ten years.  Jason is, or has, serving as a Director and/or General Counsel to CROW, SCCF, CHR, and CECI, as well as numerous other charitable organizations and civic groups.  Jason is married to his wife of 30 years, Babs, with whom they have an 18yo son, Ronan, who is attending the University of Florida.

Fran McCagg Peters is a longtime Southwest Florida resident with a diverse background in hospitality leadership, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. She holds a B.S. in Speech Communications from Bradley University and began her career in the hospitality industry, where she held leadership roles including Director of Sales for a 200-room hotel on Harbor Island in San Diego.
After returning to Fort Myers in 1989, Frances continued her career on Sanibel Island as Property Manager at Sundial and later as General Manager of Sanibel Holiday. She went on to found Island Vacations, a successful vacation rental business she owned and operated for more than two decades before selling in 2022.Frances has been deeply involved in the local community, serving as Chairman of the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum, and a member of the advisory board at Keiser University. She is also an active leader within the Fort Myers Beach Lions Club.
Her background in business leadership, operations, and community partnerships brings valuable perspective to advancing wildlife conservation, nonprofit governance, and CROW’s mission.

Matthew Pierce has called Sanibel Island home for years, raising four children who attend the Sanibel School and running three retail businesses on the island with his wife, Rachel.
A children’s book author, Matthew sets his stories on Sanibel, weaving real natural history with themes of curiosity, resilience, and conservation. He continues to serve as Managing Director of Impact Trial Consulting, bringing more than 30 years of experience in strategic visual communication, trial technology, and operational leadership to complex legal matters nationwide.
A Certified Professional Technical Communicator and software architect, Matthew pairs deep technical knowledge with a lifelong commitment to community and the natural world.

Dave Nichols, DVM recently retired from Coral Veterinary Clinic in Fort Myers and on Sanibel where he has practiced veterinary medicine since receiving his DVM from Colorado State University in 1984. He was a partner at Coral Veterinary Clinic since 1990 and majority owner and President since 2008. He has served as veterinarian on the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at Florida Gulf Coast University since 2000. He is a member of the Caloosa Veterinary Society, the FVMA, the AVMA and the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Nichols has been a CROW volunteer since 1984, and has previously served as a CROW board member for more than 25 years, including three years as board president.

Fred Ryckman is a retired Pediatric Surgeon who completed his surgical training in 1984 and practiced at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital until 2017. While there he served as the Pediatric Transplant Surgical Director, Clinical Director of Pediatric Surgery, Senior V.P. of Medical Operations and the Interim C.O.O. He has been a C.R.O.W volunteer since 2018 and a member of the Hospital Committee before joining the Board. He and his wife, Susan, have been Sanibel property owners since , and full time residents since 2013. He enjoys biking, fishing, golf and time with his family.

Matthew J. Zwack is a Senior Director for Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. (O-A-K) Florida division, where he leads client engagement, business development support, and long-term relationship strategy across the region. In this role, Matthew focuses on strengthening partnerships, aligning teams early in the process, and ensuring clients experience O-A-K’s collaborative, transparent, and community-minded approach from first conversation through project completion.
Matthew’s passion for construction began early, spending summers, weekends, and holidays on job sites with his father. He started his career at age 17 as a carpenter in South Dakota, and in 2003 relocated to Southwest Florida to work as a lead finish carpenter. There, he managed teams delivering detailed trim packages for high­end residential, condominium, and commercial projects.
In 2005, Matthew joined O-A-K as an assistant superintendent on the 310,000-square-foot South Fort Myers High School project. His leadership, commitment to safety, and high standards for quality led to successive roles as project superintendent, general superintendent, chief safety officer, Vice President of Operations, and ultimately President of O-A-K Florida in 2021. His decades of field and executive experience now inform his client-focused leadership, bridging operational excellence with relationship-driven service.
An active community leader, Matthew serves on the Lee County Horizon Council and on the boards of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, Habitat for Humanity, United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties, and the Greater Naples Chamber.
Matthew is a Florida-licensed General Contractor and holds a LEED Professional Certification in Building Design and Construction. He lives in Naples with his family.
