SANIBEL, Fla., (February 20, 2018) – The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) is excited to host “Southern Comfort on Sanibel” on Friday, March 23 at the Sanibel Community House. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the last dance ends at 9 p.m.
“This annual event will be bigger and better to commemorate CROW’s 50th Anniversary,” according to event chair Diane Neitzel. “We went deeper into the South for our menu of barbeque. Mike Binkowski will be on-site at the Community House with his smoker preparing brisket, pulled pork and sides.” The evening will also feature live music by the LCEC Killa-Watts, a raffle and games with prizes ranging from silly to serious.
A live auction under the gavel of Tommy Williams will highlight the evening. Pool resources with friends and family and be the designated bidder on one of the unique items. Some of the items on the auction block include an award-winning hand-stitched quilt honoring one of CROW’s famous patients, Ozzie of the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam nest, the chance for a bird’s eye view of Sanibel and the barrier islands with a private pilot, dinner with a CROW Doctor at “Taste of the Taste” winning Thistle Lodge, and many more.
Raffle items with values from $75-$150 to be drawn throughout the evening include a “Paint your Pet” evening, a CROW Wildlife Walk package, various gift baskets and more. Be sure to follow CROW’s Facebook event page to learn about all the great items in the live auction and raffle.
Admission is $70 per person, but can be purchased at a reduced price of $60 per person before March 2.
